The video was shot where the then couple Adele and the Someone Like You inspiration (who Adele said would never say who the song was written for) had their first date. He took her there and had candles and dinner ready for her. From what we hear, it was an emotional shoot for her, being that she said she would never go back to that place after the two split. The video was shot in one day, however, they actually shot 2 different video's at two different locations if she were to change her mind to bring up the past. No word if the second video will ever be released, but I think the video shows how strong a break-up can be, and now the song has much more meaning with such a beautiful and emotional video.
