#2012 - the year of change.

With 2012 around the corner, It's time that I recap this year. 2011 has been a year of tremendous highs and extreme lows not only for myself but for my family as well. I can only pray that 2012 will be a year of changing, a year of learning and experiencing much more than I've been capable of thus far.  It's been 45 days since I lost my mother and not a day goes by that I don't think of her. There comes a point in time this pain will come to rest and I will only laugh and smile at the memories that I've shared with her. It's something that I have not come to realization, to fully understand WHY this has happened, but I have to look at it as a form of strength because one thing  my mother taught me was strength. To not only love myself, but appreciate the good in life and also the not so good. I've been blessed to have an amazing group of friends and family who have been there for me. Even if it was just a shoulder to cry on, the love and support has been so helpful. I will take this challenge and turn it into something positive. I have to realize that your life is not guaranteed and every day that you do wake up, is truly a blessing. I welcome 2012 with open arms, and with the belief that it only gets better. I would like to welcome you all on this amazing journey that I call my life. Without you, I don't know if I would still be standing here. I have a lot going for me this year, with my family and friends by my side I feel I will, and CAN accomplish everything I set my mind to. We move into our house this week, I plan on going back to school, and I feel that with time my career and financial burdens will no longer exist. With God and my mom on my side I have faith that I will accomplish all there is to do, And I will continue to live in my mother's memory to promise myself and her only to improve myself for the better. 2011 has been an eye-opening experience of love, and loss. I've learned, I've experienced pain that I  have never experienced and I realize now, that I am here for a reason. My strength and willpower has been tested by extreme amounts, and I believe that with this experience I must learn. I've learned that you're not promised tomorrow, and have also learned how important it is to tell those around you how you feel, how they make you feel, and how important they are to you. I cherish and love each and everyone of you and I thank you for allowing me to take this journey, and I also thank you for experiencing this journey with me.

@BritneySpears #FemmeFataleTour Review (Video)

It's safe to say Britney is back, singing live, dancing her butt off, and putting on a kick @$$ show! Britney debuted her Femme Fatale tour in Sacramento, California last night with special guest Nicki Minaj and she did not disappoint. For most artists, the first show has a few bumps in the road, but from what we've seen, it looks like Britney gave it her all, sang live, and put on possibly one of the best 'performances' she's done in quite some time. We heard how excited she was to get back on stage, and perform to sold out arena's around the world, but we couldn't help but be concerned that our Brit Brit might not be ready.  By seeing the video's after the jump,  you can see why all our hesitation left as we watched a radient Britney Spears perform all her biggest hits (and some new songs from Femme Fatale) without any hesitation. We can only imagine that the show will only get better with time. I'm SO excited for Britney to get back to what she loves doing (and honestly genuinely giving it her all) with these high energy, amazing vocals, awesome costumes and props, and excited fans all over the world!

I'm Going To Need Your Help (TLC FANS)

I'm going to be posting something tomorrow on the blog around 1pm (EST) and I will need your input and thoughts (as well as ideas) when I do post it. It will better help me set up the project I'm working on for the girls (as this year is the 20 year anniversary) Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend, and as always, if you're going out tonight, please be safe, and don't drink too much! Who am I kidding, I know how stressful a hard work week can be, so as long as you're safe and responsible, drink away!

What Inspiration!

Check out this clip from The Today Show with the true meaning of unconditional love, Mother Cheryl Kilodavis and her five-year-old son Dyson, who likes to wear dresses and call himself 'Princess Boy!'
His mother even wrote a book about their journey together as a family, which has been picked up by a publishing company and is used as an anti-bullying tool!
I Honestly think that Cheryl says it best - 2011 is going to be year of acceptance!
The book is on sale now, and I believe it will help many young boys who like to dress like a pretty princess, and show that individuality is key. If everyone was the same, we would have nothing to get excited about, and for sure nothing to talk about and admire.

 I give Cheryl the 2011 WNHT Mother Of The Year Award!!

TLC to Tour for 20th Anniversary?

When I spoke with Chilli yesterday she didn't confirm nor deny the fact that she and T-Boz may tour for the upcoming 20 year anniversary of TLC. She did however say she would keep me posted as to what is in fact  going down. If anything happens, you'll read about it here first!

*UPDATE*
In a recent interview held with Billboard Online, Chilli went on to say:
Chilli says she has a couple of other plans in place for the new year, including the celebration of TLC's 20th anniversary. Although everything is still in its preliminary stages, she says she and TLC member T-Boz plan on doing "something special for our fans all over in the States. We just want to map out different places to go and have our 20 year anniversary performances."

So there you have it. They are, in fact going to be doing some sort of performance (possibly a mini-tour) for the big 2-0 anniversary!!

Is it really almost 2011?

Ok, I'm very concerned that it's seriously weeks away from 2011. Where did this year go? The years go by quicker and quicker each year. It's almost time time for my Infamous "In Year Review" blog. This year will mark my first attempt to do a video this year, instead of writing it out. Could be dangerous! With that being said, don't forget to mark your calendars! The What Nathan Histed Thinks Radio Show is about to begin, and we're making it one to remember! The first episode with include Chilli of the group TLC just in time for the premiere of the second season of What Chilli Wants.
