We're taking a break from posting all the TLC voting news to take a second out of our day to honestly send a prayer out to those who have already experienced Hurricane Irene, and for those of you are are embracing this very dangerous storm. It will effect over 65 million people, and well over 45 million people have evacuated. If you are in the path of the Hurricane I hope you've all taken cover, grabbed your pets (this truly breaks my heart) and keep your thoughts and prayers for everyone who will be facing the storm.

Japan was hit with yet another earthquake this morning and is now under Tsunami watch. This is horrible news, and my thoughts and prayers go out to the people in Japan. I pray everything will soon be better for you, and I'm sending out love and positive thoughts to all the readers of WNHT over in Japan. Sending ♥ LOVE ♥ to Aretha Franklin

Several media outlets are reporting that the Queen of R&B Aretha Franklin is suffering from Pancreatic Cancer. Neither Franklin’s sister-in-law Earline Franklin nor her cousin Brenda Corbett would discuss the exact nature of Franklin’s illness.

“Aretha is doing better than doctors expected,” Corbett said. “She has a long life in front of her and will be back in concert, on stage, late spring or early summer.”
