@4everBrandy announces the title of her new album

Brandy took to the stage to perform in front of a sold out audience, where she later announced the title of her new album that will be out sometime this June! The name has two very special meanings to Brandy, one being that it's her birthday, and two, it marks the day she lost one of her good friends, and musical hero Whitney Houston.

As we all know, Ray-J was very good friends with the singer and icon Whitney Houston. The entire Norwood family had been close with Whitney for years. It has to be tough for them right now, considering Brandy got word of Whitney's passing on her birthday. Such a sad day. We're glad to see she is taking it day by day, and is also keeping in touch with Whitney's daughter Bobbi Kristina to make sure she has all the love and support that's needed, for such an emotional time in her life. Ray actually broke his silence, and wrote

Over the past few days, I've tried to process the emptiness that I am experiencing. What my heart feels cannot be expressed in words. The world lost an icon, but I lost my close friend."
"Nippy, I miss you so much! You were so happy and full of love. Your smile will live in my heart forever."

Our prayers go out to Whitney's family, friends, and loved ones. I know how hard it can be.

@4EverBrandy confirms her roll on #DropDeadDiva

Brandy may have been robbed of the mirror ball trophy on last year's Dancing With the Stars, but she reclaimed her diva status and has landed a juicy recurring role on Lifetime's Drop Dead Diva, which returns Sunday June 19 (9/8c). TV's former Moesha will appear in the season's final three episodes this September as sexy nurse Elisa Shayne, an old flame of attorney J. Parker.

"Drop Dead Diva is on my favorites' list," Brandy tells me exclusively. "And I am so thrilled that I get to be on it for at least three episodes. And such a juicy role!" Series creator Josh Berman added, "When I met Brandy, I knew immediately she was perfect for this role. I just wanted to hug her — which is exactly how the audience will feel. She's sweet and warm and drop dead gorgeous! Plus, she was my favorite on Dancing With the Stars — along with our series regular, Margaret Cho." After a bad break-up eight years ago (vases were thrown), Elisa comes to Parker for legal help. A hard-working nurse from a blue-collar family, Elisa quit her job to stay by her father's bedside, as he suffered from (and ultimately succumbed to) congestive heart failure. Her legal issue? Her father's life insurance company refuses to pay out his policy, and with large bills to pay and no job, she needs the money. There's more, adds Brandy. "I'm excited to play a woman with a secret that could have such a huge impact on other characters." Josh Berman confirms it's "a big secret that no one will see coming." And one that could likely lead to Brandy's return in Season 4. "We are leaving her return open, but we have discussed it," Josh says. "And want to keep that option open."

Shortly after the news broke, Brandy took to her twitter to address her questioning fans saying

I for one am MORE than excited to see Brandy on TV acting again. She has such an amazing passion for anything she sets her mind to. I've never watched the show before, but I can guarantee you I will be watching now!

This Gives Me ChIlLs!
